oh procrastination
Argles. I almost ruined a roll of film today. and Tor fell jaw-first down some concrete stairs and has nasty bruises.
FIVE THINGS I HAVE, BUT DON'T WANT:
centipedes in my house
a geoggers quiz tomorrow
the attention span of a flea
a 23 page story to critique that is absolutely the most horrendous thing i have ever read.
a very high capacity for silent-but-deadly jealousy
FIVE THINGS I WANT, BUT DON'T HAVE:
an apartment
kids
a new brain
hair down to my waist again
a part in mikado with the simsbury light opera company (crossing my fingers on that one)
FIVE THINGS I DON'T HAVE AND DON'T WANT:
a conservative family (well, immediate family)
a kidney infection (again)
a crush on the boy who looks like westley in my photog. class (he is cute but relatively annoying)
a complicated love life
centipedes in my bed
FIVE THINGS I HAVE AND WANT:
a goofball who is sickeningly great
kitties
shepherd's pie
an ipod, finally!!!
a roll of film i did not ruin despite a leaky tank

hallo.
fun to update once in a while...things have been going on, i guess, but they're not that interesting. but i shall recount them quand meme.
today was the reception part of my cousin steve's wedding (the actual wedding part was in july and none of us went because it was in N.C.). there was lots of chatting about school...explaining my weird college history is getting really tiresome. it was interesting to watch people there, especially after my cousin justin's wedding at the beginning of august, which was so vastly different. part of it is which side of the family it is (justin is on my dad's--relaxed, liberal, vaguely alcoholic--side, steve on my mom's, which is largely extremely religious and intolerant), but part of it is just the various neroses of all the different people. funny.
hmm...oh, i went to visit my brother and his family in florida last week, which was fun. well, *interesting* is possibly the better word. my brother and i have very different views on life in general but especially on politics, and i don't do so well defending my opinions while trying to be polite and also stay in the closet...le sigh. but the kids are adorable. declan answers most questions with "yesss." he is three and blonde and, as he proclaims himself, "so heppy."
other than that, i've been trying to squeeze in as much time with the boy as possible (how weird that sentence is for me...the "boy" part of it, that is) before school starts, since things'll be crazy at that point with my six classes and musical and lit. mag and all that lovely stuff. we seem to be good at being apart though--not too clingy but also not forgetting to call/email. yay. i am such a goofball about him. he is so awesome, i can't get over it.
ok, enough gushing. must clean the house a little bit and then pick up la princesse!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! much excitement.
